I Love to Feed People

Grocery store gift cards for feeding people

I love to feed people. Food is a very important part of life. For our family, it is the center of so much. Family celebrations are filled with wonderful meals and wonderful memories. I feel incredibly grateful for the nourishment for body and soul this provides. It breaks my heart that there are people in our community who are not able to experience this.

Last year I learned that our local elementary school has several students who are homeless. At Christmas, the school put together gift baskets for these students to ensure they had something special. Our contribution was to purchase gift cards from the local supermarket to add to these baskets. Hopefully these baskets helped bring the Holiday Spirit into their hearts and that they felt the community cared about them. It felt rewarding to be able to provide this support for community families in need.
